Enrolment in Ardagh NS
Ardagh NS is a friendly and welcoming school. Our priority is to provide our pupils with the best possible opportunities to learn, in a safe, caring and nurturing environment.
Placing an emphasis on the holistic development of those we teach, we strive to facilitate a broad range of differentiated learning experiences that are both effective and engaging. As a proud Catholic school we have strong ties to our parish and the wider Ardagh community. For these reasons we can say with confidence that although all our pupils are not from our immediate locality, everyone who attends Ardagh NS finds friendship and support that extends beyond our school gate. It is our hope that rather than simply attending our school, pupils will make deep and long-lasting relationships across our school community.
In recent years we welcomed our neighbours in Rathnamagh as part of our amalgamation. Our new school has almost doubled our staffing numbers, resulting in a pupil/teacher ratio that is well below the national average. We hope this means we can provide even more effective opportunities for learning for every child in every class.
If you are considering enrolling your child in Ardagh NS and would like more information about our school, please email ardaghnationalschool@gmail.com for an enrolment pack.
Please do check out our blog for a flavour of school life, or follow us on Instagram at @ardaghns for updates and information.
Usually we hold an Open Day for prospective Junior Infants and their parents in early June.
